Rosemary Kennedy is a nationally recognized nursing informatics leader in the United States, with a career built at the intersection of clinical practice, health information technology, and large-scale care transformation. As Chief Health Informatics Officer at Lifeline, she guides enterprise-wide informatics strategy supporting connected care and remote patient monitoring programs that enhance clinical outcomes and streamline performance across the organization’s portfolio.
What distinguishes Rosemary is the breadth and depth of her expertise across both clinical and technical domains. She is a Registered Nurse, a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, and a recipient of the HIMSS National Nursing Informatics Award and Modern Healthcare’s Top 25 Women in Healthcare — two of the most recognized honors in her field. She has contributed to national standards in electronic quality measurement, clinical decision support, and nursing informatics practice, including work with the American Nurses Association, the National Quality Forum, and federal agencies under the Office of the National Coordinator.
Her career spans executive roles at some of the most consequential organizations in health IT. At the National Quality Forum, she led the development of electronic quality measures for Meaningful Use of Electronic Health Records, managing a multimillion-dollar federal contract and a team of directors, clinicians, and programmers. At Sotera Wireless, she served as Chief Nursing Officer and drove clinical and economic strategy for continuous vital sign monitoring, building ROI solutions deployed across more than 50 health systems. At Siemens Healthcare, she served as Chief Nursing Informatics Officer, championing innovations in clinical decision support, documentation, and medication safety.
Prior to her role at Lifeline, Rosemary led eCare Informatics, LLC, a consulting practice she founded focused on remote patient monitoring, body-worn sensors, mobile medical apps, and population analytics — including human factors testing for FDA submissions and virtual practice model development.
